Angelina Lopez

My dance journey began at age 6 with hip-hop, eventually learning jazz, salsa, and bachata at Alma Latina. At 12, I began training more seriously in salsa at Speranza Dance Company and later joined Majesty in Motion in 2023. I had the opportunity to direct two teams, a ladies’ styling team and a partner work team.

Directing my own teams allowed me to develop my style, one that focuses on musicality, intentionality, and connection to salsa music. For me, dance is freedom, a way to express myself through fluid, powerful, and passionate movement. Through teaching, I strive to cultivate a supportive and empowering community. By emphasizing body awareness, movement, and the exploration of femininity, I aim to create a space where dancers feel confident, connected, and free to express themselves.

Talia Castellanos

Talia Castellanos

My dance journey started in salsa about seven years ago with Majesty in Motion Dance Company, where I built a strong foundation in footwork, musicality, partner work, and social dance culture. Over time, I expanded into modern and jazz at Southwestern College and Grossmont College, which opened up a more expansive, theatrical, and expressive side of my movement.

My dance style blends these influences—salsa’s rhythm and grounded connection with the isolations, breath-centered movement, and the storytelling of modern and jazz. I’m really drawn to movement that feels honest and alive, where technique supports expression rather than limits it.

Dance, for me, is both grounding and freeing—it’s where I feel most connected to myself and to others. I’m especially passionate about the way dance builds community and collaborative spaces where dancers feel comfortable exploring, taking risks, and finding their own voice in movement.
